Reflection

I have reflected many times in my life. Recently, I have reflected on loving more than ever before my family members. I have come to realize even though this is always clear but most of the time we forget that the people around us could one day stop living or simply go away from our lives. And then? yeah... regret... like always reflection at last. Something that I don't want to happen in my family. Am not saying that I haven't love my family members but sometimes is good to hear and I love you from your cousin , aunts uncles, grand parents. And if you can do it, trust me you will find more love in you to give to others.

Religions and Abortion

Abortion is a big topic. More than that I believe is something that you can just do at the moment to take the decision, you cannot plan this in order what are you going to do. I could easily say, to have the baby, or not have it ( as a guy) but the person who really suffers and is in that situation (most of the time) are woman. I believe is a still a life, and abortion is also killing. But then what happened when raped or something , you don't know if the person who raped you is sick or have any mental disease that could affect the child. That's why I think is somothing personal that you have to decide at the moment and don't abort just because the hell of it. If you don't want nothing of this happens to you, contribute with yourself in protecting you for that and for diseases.

Poverty

Poverty is a extended topic. There are many countries in the world that suffer poverty. Lamentably, many of the developed countries don't do much to help them. Countries in Africa are the most affected, that's why they are also the largest in having diseases and keep on spreading around because they don't have much knowledge of what the diseases can cause on them. Most of theses diseases are HIV and AIDS. We should all contribute to help the poor and that way more children and people could survive.

HIV and AIDS

People can be infected of HIV by blood, breast milk, needles, etc. However, as we know you cannot get HIV by kissing, touching or eating from the same plate of someone. Adolescents of our age should be aware of the way of protection against this disease that causes Death after developing to AIDS. Hopefully, scientists could fine a vaccine sooner, to stop this disease from expanding around the world. However, there are other ways of not permitting to keep this expanding, being careful of what you do, don't share needles even if you are getting tattoo by your friend. Also one important thing, is to know your partner's sexual history. Then you could be free of worries and enjoy your life. So everybody who reads this, use condoms!

Gay Marriage

I respect people that tend to be homsexual. However, I don't think they should have the option to marriage. It goes against morals and God. God has created man and woman, he has not created something else. As I share in class, the Catholic Church recognizes Homsexual people as sons of God, but allow them to be married. Because they live in sin. Also, how can I gay couple raise a child? Obviously, the child is going to get a trauma, because he or she will not have an option just to be homsexual ( gay or lesbian)Why? This is because the child would have been raised with this mentality of knowing that kissing someone of your same sex would be "normal". For all of this , I don't think gay marriage should be allowed.

Immigration

Immigration is an extended topic. The US has been and will be an Immigrant country. Since the early history we have had people coming from all the world, Great Britain, Irland, Germany, Sweden, Holland, etc. Now more of the immigrants come from Central and South America. However, talking about legal immigrant and ilegal immigrant is another aspect of it. Why do immigrants come i guess we know because of the American dream , and what the American dream is? it could be feeding your family, study and have a career, make more money to help your relatives. As an immigrant I share my American dream of living better, studying and finishing my career.
I live in a town with a variety of nationalities, there are brasilian, portuguese, ecuadorian, american(in a small portion) irish, italian, polish, peruvian people and others. That's what i like of my town there is a little bit of everything. Legal or not , they are still people, and lamentably there are many great students that cannot go to College because of there immigrant status. I think there should be a way to help the immigrants in general but this is anothor topic.

What do you think on the Geneva Convention?

I think the Geneva Convention was a good treatment, in order not to have horrors of war. Like it says for humanitarian concerns. What I saw in the frontline movie was almost the concept i had already known. However, I have seen more facts and these have even increase my knowledge on this theme.

Open Blog

Now that is open blog, i will add something else about myself. When i get confidence with people i start being myself ,how is it? everybody in my high school knew me more because all of a sudden i started singing aloud, and the thing is i don't do it in purpose. I have to admit sometimes when am hanging out with friends i do it in purpose, why ? just to bother them hahaha, one thing i have learned is not to be ashamed or embarrassed of anything good. I don't think you get me but i do.

What did you think?

I really like the book. I think i like it a lot because i was much into it. This is because the book is realistic, it says the unexpected things that occurs in life. And yeah has a lot of drama too. I think the book is one of the best books i have read until now.

Turning Point in my life

A big turning point in my life was when my aunt died. She died at the age of 83. At that time I was 9 years old. I had lived all my life with her; she had raised me up like a mother or a grand mother. She was as a second mother, even though I have my mother but is hard to explain I have always lived with her, since my earlier memories i always have her on mind. Things might have turned out differently if she hadn't passed away. She could have seen me being graduated from High School at least. However, i know wherever she is, she is aware of all the achievements i have made and the goals i have proposed to have it accomplished in my life. In Kite Runner there are many things that would have turned differently, as for example if Assef wouldn't have rapped Hassan, Amir and Baba would still be living with them.

Presentation

I am searching for information about Iraqi's reactions after Iraq being bombed and also the American's reactions. Yes, It was kind of difficult to find resources to support my topic. However so far i think Amy and I have done a good job.

Music

I play guitar and have at home 3 different guitars, one is an electric one, the second one is a 6 chord acoustic guitar, and the 3rd one is an electro-acoustic guitar. I also like singing, even though am not really a good singer or anything. However, I always try myself believe am not that bad hahaha just kidding by the way.

Fahrenheit 9/11

After having watched Fahrenheit 9/11, my thoughts of what happened in 9/11 are more clear and also give a sense of the corruption between politics. I also got to know that even though after receiving menaces from terrorists we didn't pay attention to protect our nation. After 9/11 we started bewaring of the countries were terrorism started. We also tried to find who had the guilt of commiting such catastrophes. The movie explains about Osama Bin Laden and the relatives. It explains how the Bush's family have connectins with the Bin Ladens. As we know President Bush comes from Texas and the movie also says that the important piece in texas is oil and the main thing that the Bin Ladens had as properties was oil. That was the connection between them.

La Copa America

I like soccer a lot, so today Argentina played against Paraguay. Argentina won by 1. Argentina 1- Paraguay 0. That means that the next game play in the Cup of America will be Peru vs Argentina. Argentina has a great team, imagine Tevez is on the bench!!! Can you believe that?
They have all the great players, they called their cracks too. Veron, Zanetti, Messi, Crespo, Aimar. How many great players?HEY! Peru is also a good team ok? This year we have a good team also. Pizarro plays at Chelsea, Paolo Guerrero plays at Hamburgo, Jefferson Farfan plays at PSV in Holland. Garcia the defender of our team plays at Cienciano. We have also excellent players that on the Soccer match no one has to miss it.

The Kite Runner Chapters 4-7

Amir describes his life with Ali and Hassan. The stuffs that he used to do with Hassan. Hassan's ignorance in reading was remarkable along the way. It also describes the things Hassan had to do as a servant for Amir like having his breakfast ready before he woke up and after he woke make his bed while he was eating breakfast. The also described how Ali got in the family with the help of Baba's father.
Amir discovered his writing skills. Rahim Khan writes a note telling him to keep up on writing that he will go far. Amir got motivated thanks to Rahim Kahn. Then he read his story to Hassan, who paid attention to him carefully. Baba instead didn't show any interest on Amir's story, even though Amir wished Rahim would have been his father. (page 32)
A new era began for Afghanistan that was bombed, the Russian with tanks on the streets, fireguns shots at night. Amir could felt his father's love and preoccupation when came back worried about Amir and Hassan lives after the fireguns shots. The king ran away from Afghanistan they will have a President instead.
Dr. Kumar was the birthday present from Baba to Hassan on his birthday to make a surgery on his lips. The irony was that now that he got the surgery he could finallt smiled, however, he would't be able to smile anymore (page 47). After having read, we could find the irony mentioned by Amir. He mentioned that because Hassan got rapped by Assef.
In winter, before the incident with Hassan. The kites competence was heard coming to town. Amir wants to win so badly. He feels guitly of "killing his mother" (page 56). He imagined his father doing everything that he doesn't do, pay attention to him.
Then Amir finally found Hassan, that was scared and quiet. Hassan had all the signs that he was sexual abuse. "The dark stain in the seat of his pants. Or those tiny drops that fell from between his legs and stained the snow black"(page 78).

Afghanistan

Afghanistan is in the middle east. Its economy is one of the poorest in world. However, the country focus more on getting or obtaining weapons and its army. Afghanistan is one of the countries where many terrorists come from, is part of other countries in the middle east. They have no rights or opinion, they just follow what the leader says. Women in particular are the most descriminated between others. For instance, they could be seriously condemned by just not covering their faces with clothes.
Afghanistan is an arid and desertic place . Which it makes it even more difficult to have vegetation or produce varieties of food. However, they have a good quantity of heroin "poppy". Which it makes it be one of the main producers. Their communitcation is limited. They just have access to radio to follow what the leader says or to listen to the prayers made by their leader. People in Afghanistan barely have a tv at their houses; they are not aware of the world or the things that are happening around. Most of the people get to know what is happening like wars or things like that just when they hear their leader. They haven't had a government before for years, which it makes the country to be a non-democratic country. Afghanistan has had many other war encounters with countries around there. They were bombed by the Soviet Union and also the United States.
I would like to know their level of education, how high they can get. I'm also interested in knowing more about their religion, the stuffs they believe and what rules they have according their religion.
I think is important to know about what the afghanist people in general believe like for example if most of the people are against a little kid not to defend himself and always be aggresive. Knowing how most of the afghanistanian people react in society could help undesrstand the book.
There is not much to say about me. I'm cool guy. I have many friends with I like to hang out with. I give myself a chance to get to know more peoplefrom different cultures. My nationality is Peruvian and I'm really proud of it. I had attended my 4 years of High School in Harrison High School. Now I'm a freshman student in Montclair State University and with a lot of effor I'm going to get my degree.
